Australian winemaking began in 1841 in South Australia when the first vintage was recorded in the Adelaide Hills. More than 160 years on, South Australia continues to dominate Australia's wine industry.
Some of the most famous wine regions and styles in the world are dotted across South Australia. From Shiraz in the Barossa, Riesling in the Clare Valley, to the big reds of the Coonawarra.
Aldridge Estate:
Semillon Chardonnay is a fresh easy drinking wine. Delicious aromas of limes and lemon blossom are followed by crisp citrus and mild peach flavours and a subtle oak finish.
Shiraz Cabernet is an elegant full-bodied red wine featuring aromas of spicy plums and cassis over smoky oak. The palate shows ripe plums, blackcurrants and subtle vanilla flavours from a little oak ageing.
