Cecchetti Wine Co was launched by wine industry veteran Roy Cecchetti and his wife Rachael in 2007. Redtree is a range of fresh, fruity wines ready for immediate consumption.

The company strives to produce consistent and approachable wines of excellent value from California, especially the emerging region of Lake County. Calling on the services of winemaker and master blender Bob Broman, whose CV includes Stags Leap. Bob's commitment to detail creates the backbone for stylistic wines that are approachable, consistent and great value.

R H Phillips pioneered night harvesting in 1983 during a very warm harvest. To combat the 100 plus degree heat during the day, the winery experimented with picking grapes during the cool night time hours. Taping fluorescent lights to an old tomato cart in the vineyards so that the pickers could see the grapes, the winemaking team discovered that night harvesting is the natural way to keep the fruit cool and retain the grapes’ fresh flavors and crisp acidity.

Redtree Pinot Grigio displays fresh, delicate floral aromas. Citrus flavours of lemon and lime are supported by a full, long finish for this varietal.

Redtree Chardonnay has underlying aromas of lime and kiwi fruit and just a touch of French oak. With no malolactic fermentation the palate is balanced with crisp, tropical fruit flavours.

Redtree Cabernet opens with aromas of cherries and subtle hints of oak and cedar in the background. The mouthfeel of this wine is full, displaying a jammy mid-palate of red fruits, finishing with gentle tannins.

Redtree Zinfandel is packed­ with aromas of chocolate and subtle hints of oak and tobacco in the background. The ripe blackberry and cherry flavours are jammy with lots of spices and vanilla.

All Redtree wines are suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Fruit is sourced from throughout California to deliver unique flavors from each viticultural area; each brings something unique to the blend.The old-vine fruit from Lodi provides an abundance of ripe blackberry and cherry flavors. The Central Coast provides earthy, spicy, coffee/mocha notes. The “dry farmed” fruit from the Sierra Foothills provides the depth and complexity that really rounds out the flavor profile.The wine is finished in 50% French and 50% American oak.
