The Alentejo region in the south avoids the moderating influences of the Atlantic and consequently has baking hot summers and cold winters. It is the modern red wines that have put the area on the wine mao - lots of intense fruit and a more 'new world' character than other Portuguese wines.

Callabriga is a brand specially developed for modern drinkers yet still using the unique, traditional grape varietals of Portugal. The wines are easily approachable and blended to offer the palate something stylistically different.
